Two venues on the Montenegrin coast, behind them the same family values and the same approach: food made from the heart, to wake every one of your senses. Food House in Utjeha is open every day through the summer season; Crispy Food House in Bar trades under its own name, out of season. One of the two is open at a time.
Two venues, two names, one family
Food House is the home venue, at Utjeha (Njegoševa), Bar Municipality, Montenegro, on the Bar–Ulcinj coast road. In front of it there is a garden of woven chairs and a covered terrace with wooden tables, and the sunset over the water from it in the evening.
Crispy Food House in Bar trades under its own name, at Makedonska E15, Bar. It is a seasonal venue: it runs outside the peak summer season. It has its own menu, its own hours (10:00 – 23:00, daily) and its own telephone number — it shares not one dish with Utjeha.
The same family stands behind both. The name over the door differs; the kitchen, the standards and the people answerable for them do not — and that is the only part a guest should have to feel. The registry details of the companies behind the venues are published on a page of their own, with the source and the date they were read.
A family business
Food House is run by a family, and that is why the place feels the way it does. The people who bring you your plate are the same ones who open up in the morning, decide what goes on the board and turn the lights off at night. There is no shift that does not care, because there is no shift that is not ours.
So the cooking is done with attention rather than by routine. Every dish is made to order, the way we would make it for our own — without the hurry you can taste, and without the shortcuts nobody sees but everybody finds out about later. If something was not right, tell us; we will take it the way you take it at home.
Two doors stay open even when you are not hungry. If you have eaten with us and have praise, a complaint or an idea for how it could be better, write to us. And if you would like to work with us, get in touch even when nothing says we are hiring — we remember good people.
What gets cooked
Grill straight off the fire, pizza out of the oven, gyros wrapped to eat on the move, and a seafood corner for anyone who came for the sea. Pancakes and an unhurried breakfast in the morning; burgers and meal salads in the evening. We cook what people eat every day — and the things they come back for.

From the first coffee to the last grill
In Utjeha we are open 07:00 – 24:00, daily. That is seventeen hours a day, seven days a week, in high summer and out of season alike — the same board covers the morning's breakfast and a late dinner.
Crispy Food House in Bar keeps hours of its own, 10:00 – 23:00, daily, and opens outside the peak season. That is why every detail on this site says which venue it belongs to: the two never inherit each other's hours or each other's phone number.
